TRAIL DATA

Roxborough State Park is known for it’s red rock formations that line the inner edges of the front range near Denver. Offering views along the foothills and far across the plains, the South Rim trail is easily accessible year round. The loop gently climbs to the top of the park’s rim, peaking above the trees, with a few benches near the “top”. It then descends back into the trees and twisted shrubs to the main artery trail that starts from Roxborough’s visitor center. From there, the Lyons Overlook can be accessed which gives an upclose view of the park’s heart of amazing red rock. Roxborough State Park is just a short drive from Denver and offers a wide variety of trails for all skill levels (even the kiddos).
