TRAIL DESCRIPTION
From Spruce Creek Road in Blue River, CO (close to Breckenridge), there are several jeep trails and hiking trails that can be accessed. One loop that can be made is utilizing the Spruce Creek Trail to a lower unnamed marsh/lake region, hitting the Wheeler trail, and then setting back on a 4x jeep trail back to the trailhead. This loop hike is advantageous in early summer if you didn’t bring your snowshoes (yikes!) and are looking for a nice trail that wonders through pines and has some scenic views of mountains and a small lake.
