TRAIL DESCRIPTION
This loop is easily accessible from metro Denver. Moving counterclockwise, the trail climbs to towards the steep eastern sides of the first rolls of the Front Range, stopping part way up to create an undulating type trail. After the climb, views to the south open up to the rolls of the wide grasslands towards Roxborough. Turning in a brief (surprise) valley eventually brings you back to a neighborhood with sights of the Chatfield Reservoir where the trail cuts back through using sidewalks and other soft surface park trails to bring you back to the open space lot. This is a good pick for trail running with a consideration that there is no shade, so best on cooler days.
